One of the best evenings lately was the Iftar experience I shared with my BFF Charlie and a few other friends in good ol' Abu Dhabi. The highlight of the evening must have been the 55+ years old chef that fell head over heels for my stunning Charlie. The two enjoyed a very rewarding conversation held in Arabic (the chef) and Swedish (Charlie) over the different lamb dishes on the buffet. But it's one of those 'you had to be there' stories...

One of the many perks of being a fashion blogger is getting all the press releases. I love parking myself on the sofa with a huge cuppa and studying all the latest look books cover to cover!

Yesterday night after copious amounts of Turkish coffee and a go at some apple sheesha, I ended up twisting and turning in bed. As counting sheep didn’t help (it never does, what an urban legend that is..) neither did milk and cookies, I started to compile my 'top 5 favourite xxxxxx' lists.

First one is as follows: my top 5 favourite scents:

-  Coconut! Hence me being a sukka' for anything from Hawaiian Tropic...

-  Frangipani! That Maldivian flower has a divine smell and brings me back to a very special vacation at the Hudhuranfushi resort - oh the memories... That's another thing about scents - they stimulate your smell buds just as much as they send you back down memory lane...

Let me just say I love it so much that the lill’ white flower it's actually a part of one of my tattoos. Nuff' said.

-  The grapefruit scent from Jo Malone. If you haven't tried that already get your b**t down to MOE/ Doobs Mall STAT! If you're not a sweet flowery girlie scent kinda gal, this is just on the right side of fresh...

-  Clean bed linen that have been air dried in the sun. Preferably crispy and white...BLISS.

-  Cinnamon, whether it's Cinnabuns, freshly baked apple pie or gingerbread around Christmas time.

I'd give anything to be THAT girl today. Is there anything better than warm summer rain?

Since moving to the UAE and it's desert climate I have developed a mild obsession with rain - the way it smells when it reaches dusty grounds, the sound of it against the window and the wonderfully good excuse it provides to stay indoors all day.

Now my dear peeps I've got a day full or errands ahead. If I manage to get halfway through my 'to do' list I'll reward myself with a glass of vino in front of the latest episode of Entourage.. 

Today: a peachy draped dress from H&M, jacket from Primark, leopard patterned belt from Asos and my nude Loubs.
