Read that my favourite nail polish will now be available in a matt finish, together with five other top sellers from OPI. I'm loving the idea of a velour like, matt finish on nails.. The collection gets released in July so all I need to do is to find a Dubai salon tha carries the brand. Anyone out there that knows and can help?

My all time favorite nail polish is OPI's Lincoln Park After Dark. However I've experienced that most salons in Dubai only carry Essie..? Essie is great for basics and french manicure, but if you prefer dark and musty colors, OPI is the way to go.

I got my bottle when I was traveling, and I carry it with me for my bi-weekly mani pedis. If I use it on my toes, I leave the fingers natural, beige or pale pink. Dark color on both hands and feet can easily end up looking a bit 'Mortitia Adams'...

If you're into Polynesian rhum drinks at all (who isn't?..) then Trader Vics is the place to go. Conveniently there happens to be one just across the road from where I live. It's not often that you actually walk to places in the UAE, so walking down to your ''local pub'' (if I can call it that..) is a pure pleasure.

The owl headband featured in one of my previous posts got me thinking that owls must be the new ''cupcakes'' or ''skulls and crossbones''. You know...a motive that appears on everything for a while and then dissappears to make room for something new..Here's what I found..

Do you remember the cupcake purse featured in Sex and The City, the movie? Judith Leiber is the designer, and she has also designed the owl clutch, available at Netaporter.

Finally, not really related to fashion but very sweet is the little USB owl, that you attach to your laptop to get your own blinking and head-turning computer pet. Someone to keep you company if you spend a lot of time in front of your laptop. I know I do. USB owl comes from Urban Outfitters.

Bleached eyebrows are hot right now. I am loving this look, and I wish I was blonde again so I could try it out. Above picture illustrates the perfect way to wear red lippy btw. Minimalistic eye make up and natural looking skin are the 2 conditions to make red lipstick look stylish as opposed to clown like.
