Sonia Rykiel for H&M

by Teresa 30. November 2009 21:24

Curious about the next designer/ H&M collaboration?

As I revealed earlier, the next designer to work with the Swedish chain will be Sonia Rykiel.

I don't think it's gong to cause the same STAMPEDE as when Jimmy Choo got released (and thanks God for that, I almost feel nauseous when I relive the flashbacks), but I myself will definitely be there to stock up on the uber - cute undies.

How fab is this studded ring from Burberry? I will be Christmas shopping in Dubai Mall tomorrow, I need to check if they have it in store. Fingers crossed!

Christmas wish list part I

by Teresa 29. November 2009 09:46

Things I would LOVE to find under my Christmas tree:

Love the asymmetric cut on this Topshop Boutique dress.

Sartorialist's amazing pictures can now be found in a book format, great for my coffee table.

Jo Malone's candles: heavenly. Enough said.

Donna Karan's heavily embellished leather cuff is truly something extra.

Missoni knitted mini dress - pure glam.

Vintage Chanel earrings from Vintage Paris would complement the Missoni dress perfectly...

The coolest bikini ever in grey jersey fabric comes from Zimmermann.

I have had my eyes on these pumps from Loeffler Randall for quite a while now...

Last but not least - this chandelier would transform my bedroom to a boudoir..

Kiehls

by Teresa 28. November 2009 11:49

I find that Kiehls Ultra Facial Moisturizer is a bit too rich for my skin when in Dubai,  where all I need is moisture and absolutely no oiliness.

When traveling to cold climates however, where skin is more prone to drying out it is superb. Same goes for the Creme de Corps so these two miniatures are a given in my travel kit.

I really want to try the tinted one, I love products that are multifunctional with moisture, SPF and a hint of colour in one.

Make it pop

by Teresa 28. November 2009 11:18

The Hermes Kelly and Birkin are the Holy Grails of handbags. I completely understand and respect their cult status, craftsmanship and historical value but at times I cannot help but think that they can look a bit.... plain? Less is more and I so agree with that, but does it happen that people only buy them because of their price tag, as a display of their wealth rather then for the actual bag..?

I might be wrong and if just offended a bunch of Hermes owners I apologize in advance.

Anyway where I'm heading with this is that I have never really craved a Hermes bag, until I saw this picture:

Nothing even remotely plain about it! The leather boots, the clean tailoring of the clothes, the bare face with red lipstick in focus, the messy hair.... Enough already, you get the picture, I love it.

The simplicity of the outfit makes the bag pop and look like a million bucks. At the same time the rock'n'roll twist of it all makes it look fierce and edgy.

Derma (logic) a

by Teresa 27. November 2009 22:11

Today's beauty tip: whenever giving yourself a mini facial at home, remember that the different areas of your face have different needs and apply face masks accordingly.

Right now I'm using a cleansing clay mask from Clinique on my nose and chin and a hydrating one from Dermalogica on my cheeks, forehead and eye area (you can't see it on the photo as it's a clear gel).

Me myself and Nikon D90

by Teresa 26. November 2009 19:48

Me and my camera have had the best of days.

I try not to upload to many random landscape shots as this after all is primarily meant to be a fashion blog, but I really wanted to share these with you... I stumbled upon an abandoned amusement park for instance.. Creepy place but smashing pictures, judge for yourselves.

Beauty is equally fascinating whether it's found in faces, designs, places or nature  - and these are my words of wisdom for today! Wink Over and out./ T

I keep going back to the top picture and I get equally annoyed every time - why does my hair look like I haven't seen a brush in weeks???
