I take approx. 100 photos a day (!) so my memory card needs a spring cleaning. Doing that as we speak and found more photos of the Andy Fletcher DJ set at Trilogy few weeks ago.

All I can say whilst looking at the photos is: HUGE thanks to OHM records for bringing this icon to Dubai. Definately one of the most fun nights I have ever had in Dubai - I grew up listening to Depeche Mode and although Andy turned out to be a wee bit cranky as a person (as most stars are in my experience), he sure delivered music wise. Awesomeness.

Nasimi PLAY (Atlantis Hotel, The Palm) - the best way to spend a lazy Saturday. Kids, gotta try it if you haven't! Free beach access (!), soul and funk beats in the background, super delish bbq and fizzy drinks in the sun. I like! 

Bästa sättet att tillbringa en lördag i Dubai är strandhäng på Nasimi Beach (Atlantis Hotel, The Palm). Ett måste om du inte redan har testat! Gratis tillgång till hotellets finfina strand, soft musik, supergod barbeque och lite bubbel i solen. Jag gillar't!

08:00 Ipod charged with sweet tunes and running shoes on! 

10:00 Once back home it's tea time whilst I'm preparing a healthy breakfast. Berries, organic yoghurt and a salmon omelett. Antioxidants en masse.

11:30 Grapefruit scented shower!

13:00 A quick trip to the beach to catch up with an old friend. He wouldn't let me take his photo (crankster!) so instead I took one of my new sandals. You likey?

16:30 Candy&Cookie time. (I know that my plant needs a bit more TLC. It has fully recovered since that photo was taken!)

19:00 Lisa calls and says she's in the mood to go out and be up to no good, yay! Since Lisa is relatively new to Dubai I have promised to take her to all my favourite spots in town. Here we are posing at Zuma. Or Zuma's ladies room to be more precise.

01:00 We danced the night away and stopped by a McDonalds drive through on the way home. Luckily there is no photo evidence of that!

Back after a short break from blogging! I have plenty of things to tell you and head full of ideas for blog posts. Since I only got back to Dubai at 5 am this morning though and jumped straight onto proof reading the beauty pages I have written for POSE, I am allowing myself to do absolutely nothing for the rest of the day and go to bed early.

In the meantime check out Lisa's blog, she writes some of the most ambitious posts I have ever read. (Top left picture is me and Lisa at Allure in Abu Dhabi few nights ago - Lisa darling you don't mind me stealing your awesome photos do you? And thanks for making my arms look all muscly and toned on the top right photo haha. Unless it's Photoshop I  just got a huge boost of motivation to keep up my exercise routine.

Yesterday was the last evening in Dubai for our Danish guests. The farewell dinner ended up being an indulgent 4 course degustation menu at Frankies.

Neos wasn't really my scene. 360 remains my favourite when it comes to clubs in Dubai. Here, pictured by day.

If you're into Polynesian rhum drinks at all (who isn't?..) then Trader Vics is the place to go. Conveniently there happens to be one just across the road from where I live. It's not often that you actually walk to places in the UAE, so walking down to your ''local pub'' (if I can call it that..) is a pure pleasure. 

Look what I spotted when in a ladies bathroom at a nightclub in Souq Al Bahar - a pink GHD hair straightener!!! Attached to the wall, with a really long cord, ready to fight the humidity induced frizz. Hats off to the person behind that idea!

Now that the temperatures are sauna-like, all the clubs and bars with outdoors seating advantage are slowly becoming deserted, in favor of the indoors ones. My favorite at the moment is the Left Bank in Souq Al Bahar (Old Town). The drink list is really impressive, music chillaxed and lighting dimmed enough to be flattering. Unfortunately my photography and journalist skills got slightly impaired last time I was there (due to the impressive drink list) and this is the only picture I have to display..
