Finally we have an outfit post - meaning I wore something else but my jammies for a change.

The Boy has been really good at trying to get my mind of surgery related things and so we went to check out the bespoke 101 lounge at the ''new'' One and Only Royal Mirage at The Palm. (New for me as I had not been there before). 

What I wore: Baggy jeans from Genetic Denim, a tshirt shamelessly stolen from The Boys warderobe, Loubs, a belt from a market stall in India, jewellery by Mono / COOEE and Tomas Sabo. 

The beauty of spending a lot of time with photographers is that you can turn a ''today's outfit'' post into an impromptu mini editorial shoot!

The other day I wore my old sequin leggings from Forever21 (gotta love unpacking moving boxes, it's like a treasure hunt!), and oversized jersey from H&M and boots from Mango. 

After having spent the last few days at home in my jammies (pre surgery bed rest is no fiesta and I am reaching into my deepest wells of zen trying not to get eaten up by frustration and excess energy), I LITERALLY jumped at the opportunity of getting dolled up and going to the Emirates Woman Magazine ''Woman of the Year'' awards.

It has been what feels like ages since I felt like a fashion blogging saucy Cookie and so therefore I decided to bring out the big guns.

Oldest trick in the books - nothing makes a girl feel like a million bucks as a nice set of lacy underwear. La Perla it is...

A Missoni mini and a pair of retro inspired golden Choos...

Et voila! As my photographer extraordinnaire pointed out, the floor tiles totally complimented my dress! It was not intentional but looks tres cool!
